This site exists for the sole purpose of promoting Australian music. The immediate plan is to list as many younger/lesser known bands and artists as I can possibly find, and list them with links to their main site.
I do not intend to write a lot about each band/singer, Just enough to give readers a glimpse and to let then know the band exists. If I can find a video or a song I can embed I will. That way people can come here and peruse the great Australian Music and use this site as a springboard to find out more.
I also plan to keep the front page updated with snippets of news from the world of Australian music.
The longer term plan is to eventually have as many bands, big, small, old and young listed by category and alphabetically.
As I’m sure you can imagine, this is a huge task and may take several years to become anywhere near a valuable reference guide, but as they say, a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step……or something like that.
If you want your band here, and lets face it why wouldn’t you? Just send me what info you would like put up and I’ll get on it. At present the only prerequisite is that you have to have recorded something. Not necessarily released anything, just have something on your website or Myspace page.
