Jaxonville

Posted by Paddy On January 27, 2010

Jaxonville are are twins Rachael & Rebecca Jackson, they sing a melodious folksy country music thats difficult not to enjoy.

From their website

Rachael started playing trombone, then learned guitar. She is accomplished in various styles on guitar from classical, country, pop, folk, and bluegrass. Rachael’s expressive countenance and readiness to meet and greet fans at shows is a huge plus after hearing her crisp clear powerful lead voice belt out the lyrics to the various styles Jaxonville performs. Together she and her twin sister Rebecca unite their vocals as one on delicate as well as aggressive harmonies. Though not the MC for the band, Rachael has a radiant and magnetic personality who smiles with her eyes.

Rebecca is MC for the Jaxonville band. Rebecca learned to play classical violin while growing up. Later she cultivated her styles to include country, pop, folk, and bluegrass, and Irish styles. She is accomplished on guitar and plays mandolin as well. Rebecca has that lower range, but still powerful with a certain mellow sound that blends beautifully in harmony with Rachael’s lead voice. You can find at shows that Rebecca is eager to meet fans and always ready to encourage a young budding musician.

Keep an eye out for them, they are sure to be huge in country music circles.

Here they are singing “One More Reason”.
