There have been over 200 bands/artists added so far, and I am only up to the “D’s”, and even then, not all of them.
This is going to be a huge job. I wonder where I can find someone to help me keep up with the News stuff while I slave away hunting down bands, hunting down samples and adding them.
That reminds me….why do some bands have such crappy Myspace pages and or official sites? The way I see it the purpose of this site (and of course their own), is to introduce people to the joys of Aussie music, and the sheer variety of it out there. Reading a Bio or an About page that says nothing of the music at all, but an endless encyclopedia of achievements or “who I played with in the past” or whatever is not an introduction to your MUSIC.
“We play the Blues straight from the heart with a touch of rockabilly to create a style all of our own” is about your music. “We have 15 A.R.I.A awards, 27 best band awards, 333 past members and a new album to plug” tells no one anything about your music.
Help me to help you….at least add a paragraph about what you play.
